[Account Owner] How to Edit a Client's Profile: Name, Email, etc.

Please note that if your firm has disabled advisor ability to edit any client attributes, only the Account Owner and their Firm Admins can edit those attributes on a client profile.

To edit a client's profile information:

1. Go to Clients > View Client for the person you want to update

2. Click  Edit Profile

3. Update the desired information and click Save Profile

When you edit a client's name, anything new created for the client will reflect the changes you've made. Anything that already existed in our system will not get updated.  

(For example, if a client has an ongoing subscription and their name is changed, the name associated with the subscription will not update. Additionally, any historical payments will all keep the old name.) 

Need to change the client's email? If the client is still Unregistered and doesn't have any payment information entered into their account, you will see the option to update their email! Otherwise, clients have the ability to update their own email address underneath their Profile when they are logged in to their account!
