[Account Owner] How to Sign Up for a New Account
1. Head over to https://app.advicepay.com/signup
2. Select your plan, enter your email address, and click Get Started
- Head over to your email to continue the sign-up process.
The email subject line is: "Welcome to AdvicePay." Click the blue Create your Password button within the email to continue.
You will be redirected to the page below to fill out your billing information.
Note: The bank account information you provide above will be charged for the AdvicePay subscription plan selected. Only United States-based checking accounts accounts can be used.
If you'd also like to use the same bank account to receive your payouts, please ensure the below Also use this payment to receive payments from AdvicePay toggle is enabled (indicated by turning green). By keeping the toggle green on this setting, AdvicePay will use the same account provided above to send payouts. If you don't want to use the same account, just click on the bubble to toggle it off (grey). Once toggled off, you will have an opportunity to select a new bank for your payouts.
- Once you select your bank, proceed with completing Stripe's requested information via the pop-up seen below:
After entering the requested Stripe information, your bank account will be available and you can select Next.
- Next, you will be prompted to add information to Accept Money to your account. Follow the prompts via Stripe to verify your account with your mobile phone number and email address. Once completed, you will be require to provide the verification code sent to you.
- Once verified you will be prompted to select one of the below options regarding your type of business. Please select one: Individual, Company, or Nonprofit organization and Continue:
Next, you will verify your Personal Details, Business Details (website or product description), then Review and Confirm. Please note on this last page, you can edit any areas that were filled out in this process. See the blue Edit button in the image below. If there is Information Required (shown in red below), click Edit to add the information still needed.
- Once you click Confirm, you're all set! After successfully entering all required information, you'll be logged in to your new AdvicePay account!

Why do you need my Social Security number?
The SSN is required during signup due to requirements set by our underlying payment processor, Stripe.
As part of their Know Your Customer obligations, they ask that individuals provide this as part of their process for verifying identities (for fraud prevention) as well as to ensure their platform is compliant with banking regulations.
You can rest assured there is no credit check involved and nobody at AdvicePay can see or get access to this information!
